I'll be honest: I bought this because I thought the brand name was terrific and the graphics were a laugh. Little did I know, it actually sounds really dang good. Optical based compressors have a certain tube-like warmth and smooth response to them, so this really gets your cleans cooking. Heaps of clarity and sparkle, but with a big, gooey body... lovely. Plus, I mean, Cranetortoise IS a great name, right?
